Please join CRDF Global for a presentation led by Affiliated Expert Joe Brazda on the current status of Iran’s ballistic missile program and the procurement channels it utilizes to circumvent sanctions.
The Iranian ballistic missile program has grown to be the largest arsenal in the Middle East, partly due to its illicit procurements, which has significant implications for regional security and stability. Iran also has a history of sharing ballistic missile technology with the DPRK and has proliferated missiles to its proxies in the region. Through sanctions evasion and illicit procurements, Iran is developing technologies, such as space launch vehicles, which can be applied to an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) and/or WMD delivery vehicle.
During this event, Joe Brazda will cover:
- Iran’s current ballistic missile capabilities, including past illicit procurements, technology transfers, indigenous production, and the evolving strategies
- CRDF Global’s trainings on Iran’s illicit activities in various regions around the world, including Taiwan, Ukraine, and Libya
- Several case studies of disrupted technology transfers and successful interdictions of Iranian illicit activity
